Common Peghead Shapes

The two most popular peghead shapes are known as the “double-cut” and “fiddle-cut”. The fiddle-cut peghead was the main shape used between 1925 and 1929. In 1929, the “double-cut” shape made its debut on the new Gibson one-piece flange banjos.
